Ever wondered about Okra?

Okra is a favorite flowering plant around the world, and it is also known as ladies fingers or bhindi and is most highly prized because of its seed pods. The scientific name of this plant is Abelmoschus esculentus.

Okra has a wide range of health benefits, but most of the health benefits are due to the minerals, vitamins, and organic compounds found in this vegetables. Okra has high nutritional value because it is rich in vitamin A, B, C, E, and K, as well as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, and zinc. Furthermore, okra contains a high level of mucilaginous fiber.

One of the best ways to consume all the nutrients of okra is to soak it with clean water overnight and in the morning eat the okra and drink the water at the same time, with this simple remedy you will naturally boost your overall health and you will earn these amazing health benefits.

We often boil it in with beans, onion and pork over rice for a nutritious meal and I have tried growing it, but found the Okra plant usually only produced one pod  per season, so to grow it at home you may need a lot of them :-)

Beer Is Officially Good for You

It's one of the world's favorite alcoholic beverages.

And, fortunately for millions of pub-goers, it seems that beer may have a number of unexpected health benefits, too.  It Reduces Heart Risk And Improves Brain Health.

That's according to scientists who've published research in The American Journal of the Medical Sciences. They claim beer boasts more protein and B vitamins than wine, is high in antioxidants and can reduce the occurrence of cardiovascular disease.

The antioxidant content of beer is equivalent to that of wine, but the specific antioxidants are different because the barley and hops used in the production of beer contain flavonoids different from those in the grapes used in the production of wine, according to scientists.

So don't feel guilty having a beer over the festive season, moderation with everything is the key :-)

Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year

Today’s Health Tip: Good Nutrition

Having a healthy, balanced diet is important to having a happy and healthy life.

A healthy diet can provide an effective complementary approach to alleviating some symptoms of ADHD and may other ailments.

It helps to eat more fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water. Stay away from processed foods. Make sure you eat breakfast and include a good source of protein. Stay away from things like "pop tarts" and other sugary foods.

Preparing your own meals is also important. When you cook at home, you know exactly what you're putting into your dish, plus it saves so much money compared to eating out.

You can use fresh and healthy ingredients that are low in fat, sugar, and salt without artificial ingredients and additives'.

But meal preparation can be a particular challenge. Planning, time management, decision-making, and following multiple steps are all skills involved in creating any meal and all of these come with some difficulty. But it's worth the effort.

One by-product of creating a system for meal planning and preparation is the learning that can be applied to other areas of our lives.

No excuses by saying "I'll get around to it", I've given you one below - now you've got a round tuit - get cracking and get healthy!

Full-Fat Milk Could Stop Strokes, Says Study

Drinking full-fat milk could lead to a longer life by protecting against strokes, scientists have suggested.

While conventional diet advice has for decades dictated that skimmed and semi-skimmed milk is much healthier for us than full-fat milk, a study suggests that the opposite may be true.

Researchers found no significant link between dairy fats and heart disease and stroke, two of the biggest killers associated with a diet high in saturated fat. In fact, certain types of dairy fat might actually help guard against having a severe stroke, researchers reported.

Eating Your Way to a Longer Life

http://d283c7fecmlx5ua9smrewrsgtv.hop.clickbank.net/

4 Rules of The Diet of Longevity
1) Drink Warm
Most of us have the habit of drinking cold beverages packed full of ice. It's refreshing, but warm drinks may be better. Just like how the Japanese often drink hot green tea with their meals, it will benefit you as well to do the same. Not only does it detoxify and aids in digestion, drinking warmer beverages even help to slow down aging, promote healthy hair, and maintain clearer skin. However, be careful not to drink beverages that are too warm till it burns your tongue. It should only be warm enough to make you sweat a little.

2) Eat More Fish

Typical diets usually consist alot of red meat such as pork, beef, and the likes. While they do have their own benefits, eating fish may help in increasing your longevity. All types of fish are rich with nutrients such as Omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin D, Iodine, and high-quality protein. Studies have also shown that those who eat more than 1 serving of fish per week had 15% lower chances of being diagnosed with heart disease.

3) Greens are Good
In almost every Japanese meal, you will have an assortment of vegetables and beans - even in your typical California Rolls!

Greens are a staple in the Japanese diet. Not only are they loaded with vitamins and nutrients, they also help to hydrate your body, and are extremely low in calories. The average Japanese eats about 5 to 6 servings of vegetables daily, a stark contrast to our standards of maybe about 2 to 3 servings. While our parents have always nagged at us to eat more vegetables, perhaps they did have a point.

4) Enjoy Your Meals
We spend about 1 in 24 moments of our life eating. If we are too conscious of everything we eat. that's a really big part of our lives that we spend being stressed out. I believe everything comes in moderation. Even the Japanese take some time to enjoy their sake (rice alcohol) and snacks. If you can only eat natural wholesome food that benefit your health for at least 2 of your daily meals, you would be doing quite well already. Who knows, you might just end up eating healthy all the time, and enjoy it too!

Confidential Cures testimonial

Today I wanted to take a quick break from the strictly business side to share with you a
Confidential Cures testimonial.

“Confidential Cures has been a major reinforcement for me to follow a natural program to eliminate cancer.

At the end of 2013, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The biopsy revealed cancer was through the entire left half of the prostate with some perineural penetration. The head surgeon at Australia’s major cancer institute (Peter Macallum House) recommended to have it out almost immediately. When I asked what the cause was they told me, “we don’t know” and “its related to lifestyle”. When I asked if I could fix it with diet and nutrition, I was met with a “I don’t know of anyone who has done that”.

I delayed the surgery and began hunting down resources. Following a rather complex diet and nutrition plan, 5 months later a follow up biopsy revealed no cancer to be found.

During the process I also lost a heap of excess weight, dramatically reduced arthritic pain, no longer have seem to get Hay fever, and have way more energy! That was 4 years ago.

Yes, cancer can be eliminated from your body naturally, and fantastic people like Dr. Sears are helping people do just that.

Thank you so much, Dr. Sears, for helping me get my life back!”

Dear Reader,

That’s why Big Pharma and their FDA cronies are doing everything in their power to suppress this story.

But there’s nothing they can do to stop it...

You see, I’ve also been on the ground floor of this historic breakthrough from the very beginning...

Cancers Achillies Heal - New Hope.

I urge you to read this free report,
it's an eye opener.

Untitled Document
Friend,
He’s devoted 60 years of his life to cancer research. Yet, a Nobel Prize winning scientist now says we’ve made very little progress in defeating it.
His name is Dr. James Watson. He’s one of three men who discovered DNA – the genetic coding of every cell. And for six decades, he led the charge to find the genetic mutations that cause cancer.
But, after billions of dollars, countless research hours, and an untold number of lives lost, he now says we have “made no dent in cancer mortality.”
Dr. Watson is calling on the cancer community to take a different path. To attack the disease at its “Achilles heel” – a weak spot found in every single cancer cell. And to find a solution that can stop cancer, once and for all.
But the thing is, we already have a solution. And we’ve had it for more than 90 years.
You won’t hear about any of this in mainstream media. Many cancer researchers and oncologists have never heard of cancer’s Achilles heel. But after reading this free report, you can judge for yourself.

If you, or someone you love, have cancer, this information could save your life.  Click here to read it now.
