Poop Your Way Free of Back Pain

Whether you have flat abs or a beer belly, you can experience pain
due to excess abdominal gas and excess fecal matter in your intestines.
It has been said that if you have only one bowel movement a day,|
you have up to eight meals left in your intestines. Gas can develop in |
a matter of hours after eating and stay around for a long time so listen up.

How does this relate to back pain? Allow me to explain... Abdominal
gas can be devastating to the back-pain sufferer, especially one who is
trying to take a more natural approach and is using stretching and
exercise to get relief. Here's why: The position of your pelvis and the
curvature of your spine are the two biggest factors that affect any condition
that causes back pain. Even if the treatment you are using is a good one,
your results will be hindered by a distended belly.

Big Belly Gas Pains
What's so bad about a little gas? Answer: If your belly gets distended -
much like a pregnant women -your abdominals are going to get stretched
out, which means they are not going to be able to stabilize your pelvis as
they should.

There is no amount of abdominal strengthening you could do to overcome
the outward push of that abdominal gas. If your belly is distended, you will
never achieve the neutral position for the pelvis that you need to get relief.

Flat Abs Gas Pains
I know what some of you are going to say: "But what if I have flat abs and
back pain?" Even if you have rock-hard abs, the gas - instead of pushing
your belly outward - could be pushing your intestines back into your spine
and the muscle of your spine. That irritation of your intestines could be just
as bad as, if not worse than, the outward forces. In either case, you will be
amazed at how fast you'll get relief if you work on getting that gas out of your
system.

5 Things You'd Rather Not Know
If having too much gas was not bad enough, there are at least five other
irritating conditions that can affect your back pain due to improper bowel
movement.

1. Most people are chronically dehydrated, which usually leads to constipation.
Other reasons you might be constipated include the medications you are taking
and the foods you eat. With constipation, you go through your day with excess
pressure on your bowels. And whenever your colon is full of waste matter, it
will be stiff and rigid. Because your colon is so close to your spine and the muscle
of your spine, mobility becomes an issue, not to mention more pain.

2. Constipation creates strain. If your fecal matter is dry, hard, and difficult to
eliminate, you will have to work harder to get rid of it. This can be murder on
your body - your blood pressure spikes, your rectum is traumatized, and the
pressure on your spine is tremendous.

3. Food allergies cause inflammation. Whether we know it or not, many of us
have food allergies (nuts, wheat, milk, beans, etc.). With any allergies, you will
have an inflammatory reaction, and the inflammation that emanates from your
intestinal track is so close to your spine that the inflammation is going to affect
the muscle of your spine.

4. Poor nutrient absorption can add pounds. A digestive track that is not
absorbing nutrients properly will not allow your body to get the nutrients it needs
to repair itself. This can bring on a chronic cycle of eating to try to satisfy your
nutritional needs, which likely will lead to weight gain.

5. Stress on internal organs weakens tissue. The weight of the excess stool will
put stress on your internal organs - your stomach, small intestines, and large
intestines, all of which are held in place by very delicate fibrous connective
tissue. As that connective tissue is weighed down over time, it will start to fail
than sag and than your trouble are going to be compounded.

Poop Away Pain
Most people would do almost anything to get rid of their back pain, and get
lasting relief for gas or constipation. Sure, you can eat a ton of bran and drink
gallons of water, but that will take days to get relief. Laxatives and enema's
are a short term solution if bigger digestive health issues exist, and their results
are rather....explosive. Colonics work great, but they are rather invasive and pricey.

Liquids and Exercise seems to be the easiest and cheapest alternatives.

Ready to Become Thin and healthy Again?

Have you gotten heavier (and wider) the past few years like me?

I made some life changing decisions 10 years ago... Along with divorcing, moving to a new city, and spending time with the love of my life, my whole living routine also changed.

I put myself in *learn and apply* mode on the internet and kept my IT job along the way to keep funds coming in while I was educating myself.

Through trial and error, success and failure, I've been able to carve out a modicum of success in internet marketing.

While I've been so focused on my *new* career , I've also been sitting on my butt in front of the computer for long periods of time daily, using so much mental energy, I've felt too exhausted at the end of the day to get involved in any regular exercise routines.

So while my quality of life has changed positively in some ways (time, money, freedom), I've gradually become a person who's a lot heavier than my thin self of 10 years ago, and a lot less healthy (I can look back and see that the more weight I gained, the less conscious I became at making good food and drink choices).

It's time to put my physical health on my radar again and balance out this great life I already have.

Does any of this sound familiar to you?  Did you put your health and weight on the back burner while you focused on other *more important* things in your life, too?

Come along with me on a journey to becoming thin and healthy...with PACE.

All-Natural Pain Fighters

Lots of people can’t enjoy their time to the fullest because of arthritis or some other type of joint-related pain.

Many of them think their only choice is to take dangerous painkillers like Celebrex and Ultram.
This is unfortunate. These types of drugs are sold by companies that put profits first, patients second.

You don’t need to risk your life or your health in order to have a better quality of life. You can live pain-free naturally.

For starters, diet can help. Eating foods rich in omega-3s like wild caught salmon, egg yolks, and grass-fed beef can help reduce the pain. Omega-3s are a well-known and proven anti-inflammatory.

You can also supplement with any of these three safe, all-natural pain fighters:

MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) – This is the natural, bio-available form of sulfur. It’s been used for thousands of years to relieve aches and pains. In fact, Trojan warriors would soak in natural sulfur springs to heal their joint pain. No question, it works. Researchers at the Arthritis Health Center in Arizona tracked 50 adults with knee osteoarthritis. One group was given MSM. The other group got a placebo. Those taking MSM had a significant decrease in arthritis pain and improved overall physical function.2 I recommend 850 mg of MSM per day.

White Willow Bark – The use of this ancient joint remedy dates back to the Greek physician Hippocrates (400 B.C.). Its active ingredient is salicin. The same ingredient found in aspirin. The difference? Salicin is free of side effects. You can find white willow bark at most health-food stores. Aim for 240 mg per day.

GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) – This is commonly found in plant-based omega-6 fatty acids. Common sources include borrage oil, evening primrose oil, and black currant seed oil. One study published in The Annuals of Internal Medicine found that patients taking GLA for 24 weeks reported 45% reduction in tender joints and 41% reduction in swollen joints.3 For maximum benefit, take 300 mg per day.

Big Pharma has always disliked natural solutions like these. The reason is simple. Nature’s pharmacy can’t be patented and sold for profit.

Home Made Cough Syrup

MAKE YOUR OWN COUGH SYRUP

This suprisingly pleasant-tasting home remedy made from honey and onion makes an absolutely brilliant cough syrup.  Honey has antibacterial properties, as do onions.  In addition, onions contain thiosulfinate  - a sulphur containing compound that reduces bronchial constriction.  They are also mucolytic, reducing the viscosity, or thickness, of mucus, allowing it to be eliminated more easily.

Onion and Honey cough syrup

Peel and roughly chop a red onion (brown and white onions are OK), place in a bowl and cover with honey.  Place in a warm room for six to eight hours.  Strain the onion from the syrup.  Adult dose is one tablespoon every two hours, children one teaspoon every two to four hours

How to get more "bio-power"

It's the reason your brain cells think, your heart cells pump blood
and your muscles cells generate speed, agility and strength.

Dr. Sears calls it "bio-power." It's your cells' ability to do what they're
supposed to do.

The problem is, as you age, your body doesn't generate as much
as it did when you were in your 20s. And unless you do something
about it, we all gradually feel the loss of this critical energy.

But the good news is ... I discovered something that can help you
generate 8 times more "bio-power."

Arthritis Awareness

What is arthritis?

Arthritis is often referred to as a single disease. In fact, it is an umbrella term for more than 100 medical conditions that affect the musculoskeletal system, specifically joints where two or more bones meet.

Arthritis-related problems include pain, stiffness, inflammation and damage to joint cartilage (the tissue that covers the ends of bones, enabling them to move against each another) and surrounding structures. This can result in joint weakness, instability and deformities that can interfere with the most basic daily tasks such as walking, driving a car and preparing food.

Arthritis is the major cause of disability and chronic pain in Australia, with 3.85million Australians affected at a cost to our economy of more than $23.9 billion each year in medical care and indirect costs such as loss of earnings and lost production. As the population ages, the number of people with arthritis is growing. According to leading researcher Access Economics, current trends suggest that, by 2050, 7 million Australians will suffer from some form of arthritis.
There is a widely held belief that arthritis is simply a consequence of age, the pain of growing old. But it is not a natural part of ageing. In fact 2.4 million of all people suffering from the disease are of working age. Research suggests that early intervention can delay the onset of the disease and may reduce the number of cases of osteoarthritis by about 500,000 within 15 years.

While there are about 100 forms of arthritis, the three most significant - osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gout - account for more than 95 per cent of cases in Australia. Arthritis is not yet curable. While the condition is usually manageable, it invariably impacts on a patient's quality of life and includes varying degrees of discomfort and pain.

The most common forms of arthritis are:
* Osteoarthritis
* Rheumatoid arthritis
* Gout
* Ankylosing spondylitis
* Juvenile arthritis
* Systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus)
* Scleroderma

Firey Energy Tomorrow (3 Instant Energy Hacks)

In just a moment, you'll discover how to get a surge of extra energy tomorrow.

But what is energy?

According to physicists, it's the capacity to do more "work."

When you are charged with energy at the office you knock off that "to-do" list in a fraction of the time.

Boosting mental *and* physical energy is key.

Here's one way to get more that you probably "know" but that you are likely neglecting.

Here it is, but keep reading - there's more to it than you may realize:

*Get more sleep*

According to Web MD Most adults need 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night.

What does "need" mean?

Consider this:

Did you know seventeen hours of sustained wakefulness leads to a decrease in performance equivalent to a blood alcohol-level of 0.05%?

That's the legal blood alcohol limit for driving in many countries.

So, getting 5 hours of sleep a night (as many of us do far too often) is like being drunk.

And if you don't take a cat nap, chances are, you're at 0.05 before you hit the sack.

Want proof more sleep could even save your life?

The extra-hour of sleep received when clocks are put back at the start of daylight in Canada has been found to coincide with a dramatic fall in the number of road accidents.

Are you beginning to see how serious this is?

Obviously, getting more sleep adds up to more energy.

(Your parents were right.)

Just by getting a healthy 7 or 8 hours of sleep tonight will allow you to experience a radical shift in your productivity tomorrow.

Here are some other ways to "hack" your energy levels tomorrow morning after you get a full night sleep tonight:

1. Spring out of bed quickly (lying around will keep you tired all day)

2. Drink at least 8 ounces of water immediately and stay hydrated (dehydration causes fatigue)

3. Eat a high protein meal (the amino acids in protein will help your brain create neurotransmitters to boost your brain power)

These may sound like small changes, but the effects they can have on your life are enormous.

If you have trouble finding enough energy to get the job done, if you feel like your brain is in a fog, or if you feel like you just don't have the "pep" you used to, then here's where you can get two more "body hacks" that will boost your energy even more - within a day:

With more energy, you can tackle more each day ... and get  more enjoyment after the work day is done.

10 Tips for more energy everyday,

Unless you're like 20 years of age or younger, I'm sure you'd agree with me that it would be great to have more energy...

Follow these 10 steps and you’re sure to feel less stressed and more energetic in no time at all.

Clipart from Clipartheaven.com

1. Keep your bedroom pitch black when you sleep. When you remove all light stimulus (even from a clock or nightlight,) you get better REM sleep which leaves you feeling more rested. If you can’t make your room dark, wear an eye mask.

2. Drink a glass of lemon water as soon as you wake up. This helps the body alkalize, helping everything from digestion to immune function.

3. Do some form of morning meditation or prayer. This will actually help you keep your thoughts clear during the day and you will get better rest later that night.

4. Eat protein for breakfast. Eggs in the morning, for example, will give you more sustained energy than that bagel, muffin or croissant. It really doesn’t take too long to scramble an egg and the concerns about eggs and cholesterol are disproven.

5. Move your body mid-day. If you can’t get a workout in, run up the stairs a few times, do ten pushups or a couple downward-dogs (it’s a yoga move!) or a few jumping jacks. Movement is life. If you’re not moving, you’re degenerating. Sitting at a computer all day (or in a car commuting) zaps your energy. Find a way to move!

6. Get your laptop computer set up ergonomically. This might mean buying a separate keyboard and mouse so when you type your elbows can stay close to your body. Set the computer on a stand so that the screen is level with your eyes. This helps with elbow pain, neck strain and overall energy.

7. Cut the chemical junk out of your diet. Stay away from processed sugars and flours. These empty calories often just get wrapped in mucous in your body and stored as fat. If you don’t know what the ingredient is on the label (or can’t pronounce it,) then it’s better to just not eat it.

8. Learn to prepare greens. Dark leafy greens like kale and chard are some of the most energy producing nutrient-rich foods you can eat. Make them a regular part of your diet.

9. Keep your nerve system clear. A healthy spine and nerve system keeps the messages between your brain and body from being disrupted. Regular wellness chiropractic is a great tool for keeping energy high and the body healthy.

10. Go to bed on time. Getting to sleep early (by 10:30pm at the latest) maximizes the healing quality of sleep. Sleeping from 10pm to 5am for example, will yield more healing and energy than going to bed past midnight and sleeping until noon. Going to bed early and getting up early is a smart way to efficiently create health.

With these steps, one plus one equals three. The more you do, the more your body and mind thank you. Take an action today!

Eating Mindfully

WHEN YOU ARE BUSY IT'S EASY TO DEVELOP UNHEALTHY, UNCONSCIOUS EATING HABITS.
HERE`S HOW TO BREAK THE CYCLE.

How many times do you sit down in front of the TV or your laptop and before you know it you haven`t eaten anything?

Today`s busy schedules mean that for many of us, sitting down to a well prepared meal at a table and taking the time to savor every mouthful rarely, if ever, happens.

Eating mindlessly could lead to bad habits and weight gain, but there is a solution.

`Mindful Eating` encourages you to be aware of what you are eating so you will automatically make health choices. Mindfulness has it`s roots in Buddhism and is being recognised as one of the keys to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  Eating mindfully means paying attention to the food that you eat - the taste, texture and aroma.

Living a fast paced lifestyle means food often becomes a reward, a punishment or merely fuel. Being busy can lead people to miss meals during the day, which makes them too hungry later on, so they overeat.

There are no `good` and `bad` foods, just some have more health benefits than others.

The positive effects of mindful eating can spill over into other areas of your life. Reasearch published in the Journal of American Dietetic Association found regular yoga practice can help prevent weight gain in middle age.

ARE YOU A MINDLESS EATER?
  • Do you respond to external cues such as the smell of hot chips or an ad for a chocolate bar?
  • Do you continue eating even when full because the food tastes good?
  • Do you eat because of an emotional response?
  • Are you distracted while you eat and focused on something other than your food?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you're not eating mindfully.  But you can train yourself by following the steps below.

HOW TO EAT MINDFULLY

  • Always sit down at a table to eat.  If you eat lunch at your desk, go outside and eat your food in a local park so there are no distractions.
  • Play relaxing music while you eat if you are not used to total silence.
  • Plate your food up attractively, paying attention to portion size.  Make sure a quarter carbohydrates and half salad or vegetables.
  • Learn to recognise what hunger really fees like and how it feel to be pleasantly satisfied, not FULL.
  • Concentrate on eating slowly and chew your food well.
  • Make sure you savour every mouthful and really taste what you are eating.
  • Be conscious of the food you eat and how it affects your body.  Choose good quality produce.
  • Feel your fullness.  eating slowly can help your stomach let you know when you have had enough.
Paying respect and attention to how you nourish yourself is what your body deserves.
